"COLORS OF THE TIDE"

This piece started with a simple goal: get as many colors on the page as possible. I knew I wanted to create an ocean landscape, so I needed to find elements with colors from all parts of the color wheel. These include; the bright orange & yellow setting sun, the crisp blue waves, dusky purple clouds, pink shell, the dark cliff rocks, & finally the stark white lighthouse.

A dark forest setting is brightened by light green moss, tiny yellow blooms, and a cluster of bright orange mushroom. I created this piece in a way of expressing the beauty that can be found in the hidden, small dark places in the forest. It points out the beauty that can be found in small things.
